Reviews and Ratings
I had a pretty decent stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore downtown Morgantown with plenty of dining options nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the visit enjoyable. While the room was spacious and clean, I did find some stains on the sheets, which was a letdown. The breakfast offerings could definitely use some improvements as well, but overall, it felt like a valuable stay for the price.
The Scholar Hotel offers a balance of clean accommodations and friendly staff, making it a decent choice for a stay in downtown Morgantown. While the rooms are comfortable, I did have some issues with noise from the air conditioning and the parking situation can be tricky. Overall, it provides reasonable value for the price, but some upgrades and maintenance could improve the experience.
The hotel has some nice features, like clean and spacious rooms and friendly staff, which makes for a comfortable stay. However, I faced issues with noisy surroundings and a disappointing dining experience with limited breakfast options. The parking situation was a real headache, making it less convenient than expected.
I had a pleasant stay at the Chestnut, which is a boutique hotel that's just a stone's throw from the downtown campus and plenty of dining options. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean, making it very comfy for my long weekend. The only drawback was a bit of noise on the busy weekend, but nothing too crazy. Overall, it felt like a great value for my money with convenient amenities and a lovely atmosphere.
I had mixed feelings about my stay. The hotel boasts a convenient downtown location near local bars and restaurants, but unfortunately, my room was in dire need of maintenance and had a very unpleasant mildew smell. However, the staff, especially Chris at the front desk, were attentive and friendly, which made an impression amidst the shortcomings. While I appreciated some aspects, I can't overlook the state of the room, which really detracted from the overall experience.
